Or 9 and a half really! I can hardly believe it. Amelia has changed tremendously over the last three months. I swear in one week she went from sitting to scooting to army crawling to crawling and pulling up! She is WAY more active now, the kind of active that makes mama chug coffee like it’s her job! She also never lets the month stickers go unnoticed on her chair. Every single month that sticker from the picture ends up crumpled. Also, her tongue is out in every single shot because she is teething…and just 9 months old in general. Here is a little update:
Weight: 17 pounds 8 ounces
Length: 27 1/2 inches
Medical Issues: Another cold, first fever but she was a trooper!
Sleep: Amelia sleeps from 7 pm to 6:15-7 am like a champ! She still goes down pretty easy at night, but nap times are a different story. Now that she can pull up she would much prefer to do that in her crib than sleep. She will eventually get tired, grab her lovie and paci and pass out from exhaustion. We are still rocking three naps most days, one is normally just a short cat nap.
Clothes/Diapers: 6 month clothing is getting tight! 6-12 month still fits but so does 9 month and 12 month. I even put on an 18 month tee shirt and it fit! Where did my tiny baby go! She is in size 4 diapers.
Diet: We officially switched to formula at the end of 8 months and she is rocking it. She drinks from a big bottle in the morning and night but does sippy cups with formula during the day. We do two snack and three meals of finger foods and purees. She is also eating from our plates when she can. Eggs in the morning are her new favorite.
Baby Gear Love: Munchkin 360 Sippy Cup, Bob Running Stroller, Honest Co. Formula Dispenser
Milestones/Firsts: 1) Army crawling 2) Real crawling 3) Starting to pull up to standing 4) Getting from tummy to sitting 5) Saying Dada 6)First boo boo 7) First two teeth 8) Eating finger foods 9)Using a sippy cup 10) holds her own bottle and sippy
Likes: Movement of any kind, chasing toys or objects that roll, mirrors, bubble baths, bath toys, rattle toys, animals, playing with other babies, the nursery at church, being tickled, books, wooden blocks
Dislikes: Sitting still, waiting on her morning bottle, being surprised by strangers
Things I don’t want to forget: How quickly things can change and how much fun mommyhood continues to be. I love watching Amelia explore her surroundings and listening to her “talk” in the backseat or while she is crawling around. She is a great shopping buddy and just loves going places with me. She smiles when people talk to her and loves all the attention she gets when I take her to the gym. I also love how excited she gets when Jess comes home from work and listening to her call him Dada. She is all about big kisses and finding you when you leave the room.
Sidenote: If you are wondering where all of my posts have been please refer to this one 🙂 9 month olds require CONSTANT attention.
